Dave Veech
Leadership
David Veech is a Senior Lecturer in the Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University. He teaches Operations Management, Managing Process Improvements, and a variety of subjects in the Master of Business Operational Excellence program as well as lean operations topics in various MBA programs the University offers. He has studied and taught leadership, operations, and operational excellence in various roles over the past 24 years and has made a significant positive impact on the lives of thousands of people through his work. He served proudly as an officer in the US Army for 20 years and now focuses on teaching students and leaders to make workplaces more fearless, more engaged, and more effective. He focuses his research on factors affecting worker self-efficacy and how learning key problem-solving skills impacts the worker and the organization.
Libby Murdoch
Counseling and Mental Health
Libby, who is certified in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, is a licensed professional counselor, international trainer, and published author known for her deep-rooted passion for brain science and brain-based interventions. Her unwavering enthusiasm for brain science and its role in shaping our lives has fueled her remarkable career. Her expertise is in high demand, with a specialization in trauma-responsive care, resilience, relationships and self-care, Libby has dedicated her life to helping individuals heal and thrive. As the owner of Brain Based Counseling & Consulting, LLC she offers personalized therapy and transformative EMDR intensives. Her commitment to sharing knowledge and empowering others led her to establish Brain Based EMDR Training, LLC where she introduces therapists to her innovative Resilience Focused EMDR curriculum, enriching the lives of therapists and clients alike.
Don Parker
Education
Dr. Don Parker is a transformational keynote speaker and professional development provider. He specializes in SEL, supporting teachers to build trusting relationships with students, restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, and improving the culture and climate of schools to enhance students’ and teachers’ feeling of belonging. Dr. Parker is a former principal and served at Posen School in Posen, IL where he improved the school’s culture and climate, staff collaboration, parent engagement, and student achievement. Before that he was the principal of Lincoln Avenue School, a K-8 school in Dolton, IL, where he improved the culture, implemented a resilience program, managed the implementation of restorative justice, and increased attendance and student achievement. Dr. Parker is the author of Building Bridges: Engaging Students At-Risk Through the Power of Relationships and Be the Driving Force: Leading Your School on the Road to Equity.

- Can have the conference rate 3 days prior and 3 days after the conference. These additional rooms count towards our sleeping room revenue of 383 rooms total.
- If someone books outside the block, like a third party, they will not get the perks or be counted for our room totals.
Before & after the conference – The Palmer House hotel has graciously offered the special room rate to start 3 days before the conference and extend 3 days after!
So if you want to take your time, rest and savour more of Chicago and all it has to offer, please consider staying a day or two more. There is a “microsite”, meaning a “mini website” being created just for our conference by the Tourism department. It will help you find all the interesting, cool and downright unique things you can do in chicago. This information will be available early in the New Year!
