Today’s Reality Therapy Corner discussion focused on two topics:  treatment planning and different ways of teaching the practice of reality therapy.  In the first half of the discussion, Fulkerson shared his motivation for writing Treatment Planning with Choice Theory & Reality Therapy, how it differs from traditional treatment planning, and how Choice Theory and Reality Therapy is highly compatible with evidence-based treatment planning methods, such as Person-Centered Recovery Planning.

In the second half of the discussion, Fulkerson and Lucy Robbins compared and contrasted the WDEP and APECA acronyms for teaching the practice of reality therapy.  Fulkerson highlighted the importance of being able to having multiple ways of teaching Choice Theory and Reality Therapy.
