Dr. Jessica Rodriguez, PhD, LAADC-S, ICAADC, SUDCC IV-CS, MAC, SAP, CIP, CTRTC, CTP, FSS has been the Executive Director over Gateway Corp, a comprehensive trauma informed care center. She has also managing and clinically directing OnSite Strategies, the Clinical CEU training and consulting division of Gateway Corp. Dr. Rodriguez, who is fondly called Dr. J., is an expert in the field of Addiction treatment, Trauma, ACE’s and a Lead Manager. She integrated her organizational, clinical and culturally competent expertise and began developing organizational, behavioral and clinical systems. She was a Shelter Supervisor and Lead Case Manager for The Cold Weather Shelter, providing co-occurring and support services to homeless families. In addition, she founded the Prison to Purpose program at the California Institute for Women. She believes in the public health model when working with clients; as a trained and certified, expert Choice Theorist and Reality Therapist and Lead Manager. She believes that attunement with her clients is critical to the overall success of the work. Dr. Rodriguez is a University of California Sacramento Mc Nair Scholar, a U.S. Scholar, earned her PhD in Psychology, with a Christian Perspective in 2004, and a second Ph.D., in 2008 in Pastoral Care and Counseling. She also received three honorary doctorates in 2004. June 28, 2019, she became a 2019 Faculty with the David E. Smith Annual Symposium, presenter on “Trauma Informed Care from a Psycho-social Perspectives,” panel at the 2019 Symposium. She is a published author and has written articles for Recovery View magazine and currently the columnist writing the monthly Mental Wellness articles for Rapporteur Magazine for youth.
